At this point we have given up trying to figure out if we are laughing with or at The Teenagers and are just going with it. Especially since they have decided to make videos that we can watch endlessly, like the one with the fake ScarJo rump, or the fey pom pom fight or even when we joined them for takeout and cats (separately) for a FADER TV interview. They are visually compelling! And for “Make It Happen” they joined with One In Three to make a better version of Speedracer, ie a version that is three minutes long and has French dudes.

This coming Tuesday, Parisian pop smartasses The Teenagers are playing a show at the Echo, and if their songs are to be believed, they will be talking their way into your girlfriends’ pants just as soon as they are done playing their hilariously addictive jams. It’s also not out of the question that a certain celebrity might show up and allow the dudes to serenade her now famous pink-briefed rump. Good luck with that! Buy tickets now or risk the gnarly line on Sunset the night of the show.

True story: many a dude lost his marbles during the first few minutes of Lost in Translation. Sofia Coppola lulled us into a compliant state with Scarlett’s booty and the rest is moviemaking history. London/Paris’s Teenagers seem to agree and in a way that’s more creepy ha ha than creepy uncomfortable ha ha. So, that’s good news!
