Freeload: Toddla T, “Shake It (The Count & Sinden Remix)” MP3

We have lately been très down with Team Teamwork’s rap a capella vs. Legend of Zelda mixtape, The Ocarina of Rhyme (genius), so our brains can’t help but think this ill Count and Sinden remix of Toddla T’s UK hit-with-a-weird-video sounds slightly Castlevania-y. Yo dudes, Conan is messing around with Super Mario Bros., the O.G. Nintendo meme shall never die.

Video: Roots Manuva, “Buff Nuff”

Can we tell you that it took a fair amount of archive bedeviling to find the issue in which we talked to Roots Manuva? We just did. We gave him a Gen F in issue 30 and then It turns out we put him in a UK Hip-Hop round-up in FADER #6, and the sum total of words in his answers to our questions was forty-nine, and that’s counting the really small words! So we’re happy to report once again that Roots is much more loquacious on the mic than he is in print, as evidenced in this kind of revolting new video for “Buff Nuff,” produced by recently upped UK kid Toddla T, from his new album Slime & Reason coming on August 25th. Freeload/Video: Toddla T, “Sound Tape Killin”

Yo, what if you woke up one day and had a boom box for a head? Sheffield producer Toddla T explores this possibility in his new experimental film “Sound Tape Killin,” a touching meditation on the trials of a boombox head and the struggles and prejudices he faces on a day to day. NO WAIT! It’s actually just the video for Toddla T’s awesome white-label banger “Sound Tape Killin,” whose non-complacent electro acumen is haunted by dancehall’s ghost. We are jamming it hard.
