This coming holiday break is one of the last chances to see I Pity The Dolls: A Collection of Contemporary and Vintage Mr. T Dolls at the Orchard Street Art Gallery. Last weekend we got all Cabbage Patch-nostalgic (some might say heat stroked) and decided to finally check it ourselves.

While we couldn’t shake the feeling that we’d stepped into one of Murdock’s bad dreams, seeing “the most important collection of Mr. T handmade dolls in existence” was a good way to bridge the gap ‘tween Friday and Saturday night. Then again, think how much of a downer it must be for the dude or dudette with the second most important collection. In the end we decided to file the whole thing under: art? (semi-awkward, semi-charming).

One question remains: how’d they get all those stubborn-ass dolls on a plane, Hannibal?
