When we came accross this Negative For Francis single while scouring the inventories of online record stores (shockingly, not an uncommon occurrence) it looked sort of unremarkable: "angular", "post-punk", "dudes", etc etc. But the Paul Epworth production credits compelled us to shell out the pence and check it out. Now that carrier pigeons have finally dropped it off at FADER HQ, we're happy to report that the purchase was a good one. Quick blasts of B-52s-informed pop, with just enough darkness (on b-side "Love Bug", anyway) to keep things inneresting. Think the Times Square soundtrack and you'll get the idea. There's 500 copies of this floating about on 7"-only label Marquis Cha Cha, but you can listen to the jams online here.
