The best Mobb Deep albums are as follows: Infamous, Hell On Earth and...DUMMY BY PORTISHEAD! iTunes on shuffle! What you know about that!

Seriously, if there's a way for an LP that was played in every boutique, cafe, fauxhemian chill out/back to mine jumpoff and "artsy" dorm room for almost two years straight to remain slept-on, this is it. "Wandering Star" came though the big boss bass cabinets we have attatched to the PowerBook today and it was time for a BACK TO THE 90s SADBWOY SOUNDCLASH.

The Mobb comment up top is just what we call "talking shit" but comparative listening majors must admit that Havoc and Portishead's knob twiddler Geoff Barrow were smoking the same kind of dust when it came to the echoed out, rain-swept snares that MAKE YOU FEEL TOTALLY ALONE IN THIS WORLD. Plus Beth Gibbons and Prodigy both have little faith in love. Just saying.

You know what else was hitting? "Roads". That was the song playing in the GOAT-status film
Out Of Sight when Not Fat George Clooney is like, "It's like seeing someone for the first time, and you look at each other for a few seconds, and there's this kind of recognition like you both know something. Next moment the person's gone, and it's too late to do anything about it." And then J.Lo is like, "I AM SPRUNG."

So on your lunch hour today, why don't you burn one, make a latte, break up with your significant other and let it rip. You'll feel better. Or worse. Same thing in this case.
