Thanks to Scott Stereogum we can go another day without checking the NME website. The old boy alerted us to the potentially End Times soundtracking Madonna tribute album Through The Wilderness, coming this fall on LA's Manimal Vinyl. Don't take our word for it, but we predict an army of minotaurs will descend from the smog as the first note of Ariel Pink's cover of "Like A Virgin" hits the atmosphere. Vietnam, Lavender Diamond and Devendra Banhart are among the other contributors with a special CD-only megamix by The Locust's Gabe Serbian, but you probably could have guessed that on your own. A quarter of the album's proceeds go to an as-yet-unnamed African AIDS charity. Check the full tracklist after the jump.
