"Is my hair a giant fro right now?" Frankie Rose took a moment between jams at Brooklyn's Rock Yard this Saturday to ask the audience about the status of her 'do. A few entranced onlookers nodded, but for the most part, nobody was worrying about her hair. "Ah whatever, it's cool," and then she stomped her feet and went right onto the next song, "That's What People Told Me," from their upcoming album. Turns out she wasn't really worried either. And why should she be? Frankie Rose & The Outs is only Brookyn's raddest all-girl mod squad, providing the perfect soundtrack for summer activities—including, but not limited to, jello shots, slip-n-slides, and hotboxing cars (the first two can legally be found at the Rock Yard on S. 2nd and Wythe). Unfortunately you'll have to wait until the end of summer to snag the record, but we wholeheartedly believe that this music will still jam well into the Fall.
