GZA Made a Wu-Tang Documentary

August 20, 2010

This trailer popped online the other day and we sort of ignored it because it may actually be the one millionth Wu-Tang documentary to surface in the last two years alone. It's getting so we can't tell what's real and what's just some random dude's amateur film made up of clips from when ODB got a welfare check and a couple new interviews he scored with Inspectah Deck and, like, Popa Wu. All valuable interviews/clips but CAN WE GET SOMETHING NEW? This one, however, looks to be a little more personal. GZA's spent a bunch of years documenting all the fights (apparently mostly in kitchens or around glass tables), all the ups and all the downs and all the emotional turmoil. There is, of course, a lot of talk in the trailer about another Wu-Tang record as well—but we'll believe it when we see it. In the meantime, it'll be cool to get a fresh perspective on the whole crew.
