Atlanta's So So Def Recordings will celebrate its 20th anniversary on February 23rd with an all-star reunion concert, set to feature a re-grouped Kris Kross, at the city's Fox Theatre, label-head Jermaine Dupri announced yesterday. At a press conference attended by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Dupri also announced a new So So Def best-of compilation, slated for June, and a duo of public parties to surround the anniversary concert, saying, "It's only right we take over the city. You only get one time to do this." Former Columbia president Michael Mauldin, who helped launch So So Def in 1993 as a joint venture with Sony and Columbia, attended the press conference. So So Def's distribution partnership with Columbia ended in 2002. Since, the label's moved several times, operating under Arista, Zomba Label Group, EMI, Island/Def Jam and, finally, as a downsized independent.

In honor of the concert to come, Dupri gathered the So So Def gang—Jagged Edge, Da Brat, Dondria, Bow Wow and recent signee Freso Kane—for a many-versed rendition of Games' "Celebration" Download that remix below, followed by the video for Ghostown DJ's "My Boo," a highlight from the first So So Def Bass All Stars compilation that's been weirdly remixed by pretty much everyone and played at FADER parties for a decade.
