Stream Two Remixes of Janelle Monáe and Miguel’s “PrimeTime”

Chloe Martini and Kastle turn in very different, but both strong, remixes of the pompadour partner’s slinky “PrimeTime.”

February 20, 2014

Pompadour partners Janelle Monáe and Miguel's "PrimeTime," their slinky vocal showcase from last year's The Electric Lady LP, gets some new life today with a pair of quite different remixes. 20-year-old Polish producer Chloe Martini's even-slower, almost-adult-contemporary-R&B take could have plausibly been the original production—Monáe and Miguel's verses both get excellent billing in her version. LA's Kastle chops things up a bit more, with a house interpretation that's simultaneous futuristic and a bit of a 2-step throwback. Stream them both below, then grab a proper remix EP that also features two new takes on "Dance Apocalyptic" next Tuesday, February 25th. For more on Miguel, read his FADER cover story.
