Double Knots Make A “Vital Connection”

Rock the boat gently with a nine-minute balearic odyssey.

Mark Barrott's Ibiza-based International Feel label has long carried a rep for chilled-out, willfully weird releases, and the latest leans towards the former more: "Vital Connection," from production duo Double Knots, is balearic to the max, with a slight synth tickle and lovely guitar stabs that emerge just a little before halfway through the nine-minute track's runtime. The EP it's attached to, Double Vision, sees release on February 9—and the inspirations behind it are quite tropical, too. "The idea for this EP was inspired by a birthday weekend away in beautiful Herne bay with a lovely crowd of people," band member Toby Tobias told FADER in an email.
