Pittsburgh-born, Brooklyn-based, and Roc Nation-signed singer/songwriter Kevin Garrett has delivered an aching new EP called Mellow Drama. Spanning five tracks, it fits in somewhere between James Blake and Sam Smith and plays like the sonic equivalent of leaning into an extant bruise—but he promises it's not meant to hurt, at least not too much. "Mellow Drama was inspired by a whole set of experiences—it touches on moments of vulnerability and self reflection. This EP is my attempt at letting you in for a second.
