Consummate songwriter and burgeoning solo-star Bonnie McKee's latest, a video for her soaring new single "Wasted Youth," is a candy-colored PSA for the pop fans amongst us who are perhaps beginning to feel the first signs of Old.

Shot in 16mm and directed by Darren Craig of The Uprising Creative, it finds McKee and her friends writhing in beds of squishy marshmallows, slurpping down drinks through doodle straws, wrapping themselves in bubble wrap for wrestling matches, bathing in bathtubs full of Lucky Charms, and all while sporting unapologetically short shorts, bright hair, and sunburns. Let's get it while we're young, indeed.

“We set out to make a video that captures the spirit of youth and reminds us that you are as young as you will ever be in this moment, so don't waste it," wrote McKee of the video in an email to The FADER. "I wanted it to have a true vintage look and feel, so it's all shot on Super 16mm film. We filmed the entire video at my house so it's basically just my friends and I having fun and getting weird!”
