Instagram has become the latest social media platform to offer augmented reality face filters to its users. The Snapchat-style feature was announced by the company this morning, May 16, in a blog post. There are eight different filters available to users, including one that sends math equations spinning around the user's head a la the math lady meme. There are also various crowns and a couple of animal options including a rabbit and koala.

A new face icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen activates the filters, which work on both the front and back facing camera on your phone and across all of Instagram’s shooting modes including Stories and Boomerang.

These updates are available as part of Instagram version 10.21 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play.
