Since releasing his 2015 EP Umbrella Club independently, then "World Away" via Foreign Family Collective, Gothenburg-based artist Kasbo’s electronic music has been laced with contemplative whispers of ambience. Since then, he’s leaned into the more subdued, textural elements of his earlier music, as shown on 2017 tracks like “Snow In Gothenburg” and “Bleed It Out.” Ahead of his debut album, Places We Don't Know, arriving on March 23, today he’s sharing “Aldrig Mer” on The FADER — a melancholic and twinkling synthpop gem, featuring hushed, evocative vocals from James Cullen, of the London duo TENDER.

About the song, Kasbo explained: ”I love synths and more electronic sounds, but for this song specifically I wanted most of the space to be filled with elements that had some form of human root, with recordings like that you can get a lot of beautiful textures that make all the difference. TENDER absolutely nailed the emotional vibe without ever transcending into something cheesy, which often feels like a risk when doing something ‘pretty.’”
