The getaway driver in the rapper’s killing was sent home when she tried to turn herself in to police.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating why, when the woman who drove the getaway car in the fatal shooting of Nipsey Hussle attempted to hand herself into police, she was turned away by officers.

As CBS News reports, the LAPD's Office of the Inspector General confirmed that the Internal Affairs Group is investigating a desk officer's response.

Grand jury testimony shows that the unnamed woman had gone to the station after seeing her car and licnense plate on the news. Thre transcript shows that when she arrived at the station the front desk officer said "don't worry about it" and "don't listen to the news." The woman returned to the station later on after her mother called detectives.

On May 9 a grand jury indicted Eric Holder, 29, with murder, attempted murder and other felonies. He has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
