Soccer Mommy has dropped “lucy,” the Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s follow-up to this year’s standalone single “Blossom (Demo)” and last year’s album Clean. “lucy” carries an airier, more jangly sound than the occasionally grungy Clean, while still retaining the same dissonant chords and slowly building atmosphere. It’s Soccer Mommy’s first release for Loma Vista, the independent label that was previously a subsidiary of Universal. Loma Vista’s other signings include St. Vincent and Alice Glass.
