Leven Kali links up with Smino and Topaz Jones on the romantic “Homegirl”

After releasing Low Tide earlier this year, Leven Kali is already back with "Homegirl," a new song featuring Smino and Topaz Jones. Taken from his upcoming project High Tide, due next spring, "Homegirl" feels like romantic, late-night music, its piano chords adding some pep to an established formula that makes it feel like a pre-game rhythm as well.

Discussing the track via email, Kali explained: "Whether it’s from friends, family, the 'gram, or TMZ — we’ve all gotten the, 'Oooh who’s that?' accusation of someone who's just a friend and nothing more. This song is an answer to that." Listen to "Homegirl" above.
