FIG makes buoyant bedroom pop for all occasions. Non-occasions too, for that matter. Take the 19-year-old New York-based artist's latest single, "Ma Huggies," for example, a song that prioritizes the laziest kind of day. It's hard to make sweatpants and frozen pizza sound whimsical, but FIG makes it look easy, and even essential, amid some plush production from Nico Sleator.

"The song is about binge watching TV at home and embracing the idea of relaxing all day," FIG told The FADER. "I wanted an anthem for that cause sometimes people think you're not making progress if you're just at home chilling and doing ‘nothing’. But to be honest I think we all need some of those days. Huggies sounded like a word to me which was so plush and comfortable. I only realized later that Huggies was a type of diaper which was kind of perfect for the song."
