Lana Del Rey has shared the tracklist for Chemtrails Over The Country Club, her much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s lauded Norman Fucking Rockwell. The Los Angeles-based musician’s sixth album, seventh if including her 2020 spoken word record Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, Chemtrails features the previously released single “Let Me Love You Like A Woman,” as well as the previously-previewed “Tulsa Jesus Freak” and “For Free,” which may be the Joni Mitchell cover Del Rey took to performing on her 2019 Norman Fucking Rockwell tour. Another single, the record's title track, is dropping Jan 11. Like Norman Fucking Rockwell and Violet, it was produced by Jack Antonoff.
In addition to the record’s tracklist, Del Rey has shared its black-and-white cover art, a photo of her and a group of friends sitting at a gingham-dressed table. View the Chemtrails album art and back cover above.
In an Instagram comment, Del Rey appeared to preemptively defend the photo from criticism, writing that "My best friends are rappers my boyfriends have been rappers," and that “these are my best friends […] yes there are people of color on this records [sic] picture and that’s all I’ll say about that.” View Del Rey’s full comment below.
