Bicep's new album Isles is a project without a spiritual home. The electronic duo, based in London but originally from Belfast, make music for vast club spaces and festival stages - two worlds which currently don't exist. Undeterred, Bicep have started to lean into the visual side of their music, sharing unique and unforgettable visuals for tracks from the album. The latest of which, "Lido," is premiering above.

"Lido" may be a deceptively simple song but its video is anything but straight forward. Created by Pouff, the "Lido" video is made up of a sea full of animated animals none of which you can ever truly lock eyes on for long enough to identify. The kaleidoscopic effect on the images is uncanny, making everything look as much like a stained glass window as it does a watery reflection. It matches one of the more esoteric moments from Isles, Lido is a minimal and reflective track. A reminder to breathe amid the madness.

Speaking to The FADER via email, Bicept explained more. “This track was born from one of our many experiments with granular synthesis," they said. "We cut a single piano note from a catalogue of 1970s samples and fed it into one of our granular samplers. As we experimented with recording it live, the synthesiser glitches and jumps added all this character and texture. It was pretty disorderly and hard to control, but we loved the madness it produced. There are a ton of layers to this track despite it sounding so simple. And mixing it was a lot of work, trying to get that balance between soothing and subtle chaos.”
