Plan A
- story THE FADER
Buzz flash! Not that we haven’t already given you a million reasons to hop a jet to the windy city, but tomorrow night sees the opening of longtime FADER family favorite, photographer Michael Schmelling’s show “The Plan” at Bucket Rider Gallery.
This latest body of work depicts the homes of people who have obsessive-compulsive hoarding disorders, or who have been “unable or unwilling to get rid of the belongings that crowd the spaces of their homes.” Erm, sounds like the FADER office. For months, Schmells teamed up with an outfit called Disaster Masters, and was able to snap away in small, cramped spaces all over town. Given our dude’s talent for capturing personality through objects and spaces, one can only imagine the results.
