Rock Candy

There’s lots of power chords and sugary hooks flying into the office these days.

The high-energy Motion City Soundtrack record (which you can check in it’s entirety here) almost makes up for the last Weezer LP being such a snooze-fest. OK Go’s latest is rawer than their first album, but still pretty dang effervescent – recorded in Malmö, Sweden with Tore Johansson of Franz Ferdinand and Cardigans production fame. Speaking of Swedes (when aren’t we?) even the Shout Out Louds LP has some unexpected power pop charm.

Maybe it’s the warm weather or all this grape Kool Aid talking, but we’re not mad at any of it.
