We just got this snazzy, limited-edition 2006 Memphis Music Calendar from the folks at Shangri-la Projects. It features a slew of notable dates in Memphis musical history (Justin Timberlake born on January 31st, 1981! Elvis buys Graceland, March 19th, 1957!), as well as photos of local legends and famous out-of-towners shot in Memphis by everyone from Bob Gruen to William Eggleston. Our favorite is the flick of a then-dreadlocked Al Kapone at Club 616 in ’94, but all the pics are awesome enough to make you wish next year started today.
