Week In/Out

Good week in FADER bloggage: cover exclusives, Kano & Juelz live, and the personal correspondence of Jim Jones, a Fiery Furnace, and Thom Yorke. Plus lots of other goodies.

For the weekend ahead. NYC can ride the crazy horse when Jason Molina and his Magnolia Electric Co. bring their rusted glory guitar anthems to the Knitting Factory – tonight’s the night. Blaow, that’s three Neil Young references. We hit our quota! Tomorrow, Simian Mobile Disco touches down at the Tribeca Grand. Tonight in SF, Kanye’s extended fam are having a reunion (minus him, sadly) with John Legend, Common and De La Soul. Chicago sees Pretty Girls Make Graves at the Bottom Lounge tonight and droneyprettyprogmetal upstarts Pelican at The Metro on Saturday. LA folks, y’all can probably stand around at some club/bar/lounge and watch people not eat. OR YOU CAN GO SEE DUNE! David Lynch’s sci-fi freakout should be locked away in an institution, but Westsiders can see it tonight at the Egyptian. Pass the spice!
