We’re as surprised as anybody by Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland Soundtrack, and how it’s actually, y’know, a decent record! Consisting solely of covers (think “Astro Zombies” as done by My Chemical Romance – two generations of eyeliner unite!) the disc’s fourteen tracks are all delivered with a genuine, riff-y enthusiasm, and provide a warm reminder of how we used to be waaaaaaay more into video game playing and parent hating than we are now.
