No, You Don’t Understand, Last Week Was FASHION WEEK

September 19, 2005

Last Wednesday, the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC played host to "Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars," celebrating the indelible outfits that Trisha Biggar designed for all six SW films.

George Lucas, Hayden Christensen, Frank Oz and producer Rick McCallum were all there, as was our ace correspondent Drew Goldberg, who got Yoda to sign his cereal box.

Says Drew, "the outfits were simply stunning - the models and creatures walked the runway to a Star Wars-themed score, and Lucas and fans were delighted." An exhibition celebrating these costumes will open 9/19 at the FIDM Museum and Galleries located at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. It will run thru 12/10, and admission is free. Suffice it to say, may the force be with y'all.
