Two new (old) joints to keep an eye out for are the lovingly-packaged Get Some mix by Sloppy White and Soul Jazz’s latest project, Big Apple Rappin. The mixes bring that hot fire – Sloppy focuses on the truly random gems (Monay & DJ Cuthroat!) while the Soul Jazz comp brings together two discs of disco-rap goodness from Spoonie G, Masterdon Committee and more – and both have us placing bets on which office coworker would have had the best high-top fade in the early 80s when we were like two.
