- story THE FADER
Last night was like the ex-homecoming for New York’s Lost Boys, le Animal Collective. Three of the four no longer dwell in New York (Portugal what’s good?!), but that doesn’t mean we don’t claim them. Sold out for weeks, the show was packed to the gills with all kinds of indie all-stars and AC didn’t disappoint, but if we may say so, they didn’t exactly (avey) tear the house down, either. Maybe dudes were tired or whatever, but mostly all the ambience that made their SXSW performance sublime is lost in the upper reaches of Webster Hall. That said, the show at Bowery Ballroom is going to be a shredder. Please believe! AC, we heart you here, now and forever. Love, The FADER.
