It sure is nice having Green Lantern back to his regularly scheduled smashing of the mixtape game. Dude had fallen back for a spell after the whole Jadagate ordeal, leaving the streets to be Cannooooooooned by Drama and Co. But the Evil Genius is back! GL first dropped the fine Alive On Arrival a few weeks ago and now we get the Dip-heavy This Ain’t No Greezy Talk, a mix in conjunction with the All Access DVD crew. A glance at the tracklist may suggest that there is way more Max B (the off-brand Jim Jones) for any one tape, but duke actually comes off, especially when guesting with Jim on Purple City’s “Knick Knack”. Dear D-Dot (and co-producer Teetimus): WE APPROVE OF YOUR USE OF ANALOG KEYS. KEEP IT UP. The NOREmanical one hops off the bench to contribute an untitled, Neptunesian jam without a trace of reggaeton to be heard. And it’s still amusing to hear Papoose and Jae Millz give in to the dark side of The Force on the NYC remix of Chamillionaire’s “Ridin Dirty.” Pap! What of the rebellion?!
