Man, we love whenever Skateboard L is in town. Sometimes we’ll get a MySpace message beforehand, other times we’ll just turn on the radio and hear Funk Flex hazing our guy for being too earnest. Its like this massive game of Where’s Waldo if, instead of a striped sweater, Waldo was rocking an imported hoodie made from Jason And The Argonauts golden fleece or some shit. Last night our girl Sam ended up at a launch party for a new cell phone at the Maritime Hotel, and who should be there but Lupe, onstage running through “Kick Push” and his verse off “Touch The Sky”. Our bets for the next random meet up: ordering at Tiny’s and bumping into Young Fiasco carrying armfuls of Alife boxes down Rivington St. It’s bound to happen.
