Real Big
- story THE FADER
Photog extraordinaire Jonathan Mannion is the heavyweight champion of the hip hop world when it comes to creating iconic images of the MCs, producers and husslas that have defined it. Dude has shot covers of Eminem, Outkast, Kanye, the Neptunes, Mos Def, and Mannie Fresh…and that’s just for us alone! So we here at El FADER implore you to go check out Mannion’s first solo exhibition – a selection of images pulled out of his archive from the past ten years – at 222 Gallery in LA. The exhibit opens tonight and runs until August 18. The real question is not whether or not you’re going to go, its how in the hell are they going to cram a decade’s worth of his epic shots into one space. Forget it, go figure out how they fit it all into one city!
