Debonair Samir’s “Samir’s Theme” is a favorite of ours (and in a perfect world, a favorite of everyone everywhere), and the Baltimore DJ will be coming up to NYC next Thursday (July 20th) to drop it and other jams at the Hiro Ballroom as part of a release party for the Amanda Blank/Aaron LaCrate single “Blow.” Sharing the night is club promoter Oxy Cottontail, who’ll be performing onstage (yes, you read that correctly) with a theme song of her own, the “Blow” b-side “Oxy’s Anthem.” Also on the bill are Maryland transplant and cover art controversy-maker LaCrate, and one of the country’s best party DJs (do your fucking research!) Philly’s mighty mighty Low B. Check you there.
