It was all squinting and burnt-ass shoulders over the weekend in Coney Island, where the Village Voice put on their annual Siren Music Festival. On two stages (one on either side of Shoot the Freak), hot dogs and paper-cup beer were downed in large quantities, Art Brut reminded people to start bands, the Scissor Sisters reminded people to reapply their make up, Stars got everyone’s mind right (“Death to death!”), and the Stills were impressive as always.
