Two Sundays back Gang Gang Dance stepped off a plane from their EuroTour and onto the stage at McCarren Park. The show was dumb fun, with the Billyburg pool’s concrete dynamics making a beautiful soup out of GGD’s messy beats ’n’ space tweakrock. As good as the show was (not to mention Spankrock’s performance right after) it was kind of a tease – now we gotta wait until December for their new DVD, featuring remixes of tracks from God’s Money over video art by the band’s Brian Degraw, and until early ’07 or thereabouts for the new record proper. Until then, holler at this video for the latest glimpse into what GGD has been cooking up in Greenpoint (big thanks to Earl Boykins for the link). Not normal, and definitely not not awesome.
