Rollercoaster Of Emotion
- story THE FADER
Truth be told, we’ve downgraded our initial Christmas morning-level enthusiasm for the new Bloc Party disc. Just a smidge. The jamming moments still jam, but we’ll admit we got more than a little gassed for the album as a whole back in November. Blame the watermark or something. However, we remain totally, breathlessly psyched about this remix single of A Weekend In The City standout “The Prayer.” It quietly hit iTunes last week, and features two clubby takes from Instituber Para One and former Bloc producer Paul Epworth, a drum-n-bass version (woah, comeback?) by Break & Silent Witness, and a surprisingly stripped-down mix by UK upstarts Does It Offend You, Yeah?. The aciiiiieeeeed-y Paul Epworth remix might be our favorite, but they’re all winners. Get your electronic equivalent of three dollars and forty-nine cents ready to go!
