Wild Promo

We just got a press release about New York-via-Cleveland band Dragons of Zynth’s February residency at Tonic (where they’ll be aided and abbetted by our dude Kyp Malone), and it reminded us to post up a pic of what might be the wildest Wild Promo ever. The Dragons sent us what looks like a styrofoam cooler spraypainted and bashed up to look like an asteroid, filled with some kind of fuzzy scarf thing, a tambourine, a press photo, a photo of David Bowie, and then underneath all that, a single CD-R (you can check “Labor Day Lung” from the disc here). Impressive – but PLEEEEEZE y’all, don’t start thinking that elaborate promos are the way to our hearts. We put super duty tough work into our recycle bin game!
