Art Star Wars
- story THE FADER
If you’re reading this and have A) nothing to do B) a pile of money C) a taste for galas, tell Hobson to fetch the Rolls because you’ve got a party to attend. The opening day-long preview gala of NYC’s Armory Show: The International Fair of New Art begins today on Pier 94, and if you have $1000, you can gain entry as soon as the doors roll open. For the paupers, 20 bucks will get us in starting tomorrow. It runs through Monday, February 26th, and showcases new works by contemporary artists from most of the top galleries and dealers in and out of New York. It’ll be patchy, for certain, but in terms of spotting trends and trendsetters, you could do worse than spending a day walking through. And when you see us painting kittens named Stefan on the sidewalk outside, be kind, it’s our passion.
