Today the internets turned up a new joint by 8-Ball and MJG with 112 called “Cruisin.” And it got us thinking, what the fuck happened to 112? If you had asked us a couple years back, we would have told you that by 2007, they would have put out one more platti group album, then Slim would’ve bounced for a solo career. At this point he’d be a solo smash or two deep, maybe gearing up for a third. Welllllllllll, it hasn’t turned out that way, but it’s good to hear from old boy for the first time since we were in the studio with Killer Mike in Atlanta, listening to his shit-hot Pulp Fiction storytelling joint that throws One Tweezy’s “Cupid” for a really ill loop. It was gonna be on Killer’s album, then ended up on The Killer mixtape. We’d link you to the mixtape, if there were still mixtapes on the internets to link to. Holler at your local curbside retailer.
