New LA art+music+bookstore Family on Fairfax has quickly become a hub of really awesome shit. They’ve already hosted some of our favorite bands and this Sunday at 7pm, DC anti-hero and leader of many a fine band Ian Svenonius is reading from his new book The Psychic Soviet and then, just for kicks, he’ll be DJ’ing the Part Time Punks night at the Echo with some guy named Calvin Johnson.
