In last year’s photo special, we were proud to feature the work of New Jersey-based photog Robin Schwartz. Her Amelia Project is a series of oversized portraits featuring Schwartz’s daughter among animals: surrounded by reindeer at an outdoor petting zoo, cheerfully smiling while being lifted off the ground wrapped in an elephant’s trunk, poised and serene as she is pounced upon by five hairless cats. Many of these photos will be displayed at the Safe-T Gallery in Dumbo Brooklyn from May 18 to June 16. The opening reception is tonight from 6-8pm, and it’s definitely worth a visit from you two-leggers.
