If you think we sit up all night refreshing rap blogs, we got news for you, we sit up all night watching Animal Collective videos wishing we lived in a city where they played a show. Oh wait, we do! It’s called “New York City” and the Animals are here tonight and WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT. The show is the first in the River to River South Street Seaport Festival summer series, is F.R.E.E., is outside, is potentially full of new Strawberry Jam(s) and begins with the exquisite coochie-pop DJ stylings of Spankrock’s XXXchange. If that doesn’t get you jazzed you are A) a giant piece of party poop and B) not going to need the above clip from AC’s show a couple weeks ago in Dallas, Texas. Everyone else, meet us in mesh by the water.
