Apart from thunderstorms, tonight holds what promises to be a superfantastiche solo show for our man, artist
Lou Laurita. FADER fans may remember that Lou was the premier cover artist for our verrrrry first FADER/Southern Comfort 7-inch (featuring the stylings of M Ward plus Jim James b/w the indubitable Vancunian jammers
Ladyhawk). Tonight’s show at downtown gallery Guild & Greyshkul portends work featuring “drunken couples, small disasters, Victorian botanicals, and coloring book illustrations.” Coincidentally, the same things that go into the making of an issue of the magazine! If you happen to be landlocked/in other cities, you can assuage your depression by hollering at us for the third installment of our 7-inch series.
