Gospel MC Mr Del isn’t exactly a “five mics” kinda lyricist, but his sampling of Fabo’s “Oh my gawwwwwwwwwwd” from D4L’s “Laffy Taffy” for the independent single “Oh My God” was perhaps the cleverest flip in religious rap history. For his new Hope Dealer LP, Del even enlisted Fabo to sing it himself. Whatever your creed, you’ve got to admit that dude’s got moxie.
