If rapping about birthdays became a new rap trend, we wouldn’t be mad because birthdays are fun forever. We’ll be listening to this song when we’re sixty and probably doing some embarrassing dance, but at that point who cares anyway? We’ll all have trophy significant others and grown kids that resent us for not letting them go to horse camp when they were 12, but the minute this song comes on things will get really fun, not like “we can’t remember what we did the night before” fun, but like, sentimental family fun, and you know that’s where it’s at.
