LA: Ooga Booga Is A 3-Year-Old

If you’ve ever been to the Ooga Booga store in LA’s Chinatown, you know that it’s a place that separates you from the stray dollars in your pocket like no other. We can’t remember a single visit when we haven’t found something totally outstanding that now fills mantle space. This Sunday, Ooga Booga celebrates three years of giving us what we didn’t know we needed by inviting one of our favorite dudes Hisham Bharoocha aka Soft Circle and underrated Brooklyn odd-pop duo High Places to play in the staircases. If you need a preview, both bands are playing at the Smell tonight, but you can’t buy shoes and cool books and stuff there. You might find some weird shit in the alley though, so do your thing!
