G&D are better known as Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins and not so well known as the prolific, eccentric core of the LA scene we covered back in Issue 43 and which is reprinted here. “One” is the second single off their forthcoming album The Message Uni Versa out Sep 25th and features Georgia’s signature rubbery basslines and loping drumtracks. Sometimes these two can get a little too far out into weeds, but “One” is extra focused and contains just the kind of idealistic activism we need to hear after too many hours of C-Span the last couple weeks. And no, it is not a U2 cover.
