Folk(ert) Art

Last time we saw work from Dutch artist Folkert De Jong it was during the clustermuck known as Miami Art Basel and it was also insanely awesome. Peachy pink and buttery yellow paint dripped off of lifesized styrofoam and polyurethane foam grotesqueries of marauding soldiers, the cumulative effect of which was like a really bad acid trip featuring visions of WWI hell hounds. Tomorrow sees the opening of FDJ’s latest, entitled
Saltimbanques
and it too reminds us of a really bad acid trip, only this time with distressed Picasso-esque French clowns. Unlike acid, the whole shit is over after 30 minutes and there are no trails! BONUS!
