Blank Dogs are basically making pop songs despite the fact that the lyrics are obscured and distorted almost beyond the point of recognition. Sometimes sounding like Cure home demos or lo-fi New Order, the band succeeds because underneath all the distortion there are total pop hooks and awesome synth sounds. Also they succeed because they are giving their ENTIRE CATALOGUE away for free. There’s a donation button on their blog, give a band some dollars!
