On The Street: Summer Knits

July 23, 2008

We used to think wearing sweaters in the summer was a straight-up style oxymoron. Pits stains, sweaty palms, and a possible risk of heatstroke—the pitfalls (no pun intended) are just too many. But funnily enough we have sniffed out are a few brave and sartorially-versed boys and girls this season mastering the art of summer knitwear, like this icy blonde we found at Union Square looking so cool (pun intended). From the braided detail on the cream-colored knit to the Tintin do and coral-colored pout, there is definitely not even a whiff of the sweats about it.
